1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, bookings, and repair services provided by Herts Precision Surface Repairs Limited (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accepting a quotation, booking an appointment, or allowing work to commence, the customer (“you” or “the Client”) agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Quotations & Estimates

2.1 All quotations are provided based on the information available at the time, including photographs, descriptions, or site inspections.

2.2 Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

2.3 Prices may be amended if:

  • Additional damage is discovered;

  • The extent of damage differs from that originally described;

  • Additional work is requested;

  • Access conditions differ from those advised.

2.4 All prices are stated in GBP (£) and may be subject to VAT where applicable.

3. Scope of Repairs

3.1 Hard surface repairs are cosmetic repairs intended to improve the appearance and usability of damaged surfaces.

3.2 While we aim to achieve the highest possible finish, an entirely invisible repair cannot be guaranteed in all cases.

3.3 Colour, texture, sheen, and pattern matching will be completed to the closest achievable match using industry-standard repair methods.

3.4 Repairs may remain visible under certain lighting conditions, close inspection, or due to the nature and age of the original material.

3.5 The Company reserves the right to refuse repairs deemed unsuitable, unsafe, or beyond economical repair.

4. Customer Responsibilities

4.1 The Client must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.

4.2 The Client is responsible for ensuring:

  • Adequate lighting and ventilation;

  • Access to electricity where required;

  • The area is cleared of personal belongings and obstacles before arrival.

4.3 The Company will not be responsible for delays caused by restricted access, other contractors, or unsuitable site conditions.

4.4 Parking charges, permits, congestion charges, tolls, or site access fees may be added to the final invoice where applicable.

5. Existing Damage & Limitations

5.1 The Company is not liable for:

  • Structural weaknesses;

  • Existing cracks spreading during repair;

  • Poor previous repairs;

  • Manufacturer defects;

  • Deteriorated surfaces or materials beyond normal repair standards.

5.2 Some surfaces may contain hidden damage not visible before work begins.

5.3 Certain materials, including aged plastics, laminates, stone, ceramics, UPVC, baths, sinks, and coatings, may react unpredictably during repair.

6. Appointments & Cancellations

6.1 Appointment dates and times are estimates and may occasionally change due to traffic, weather, material supply issues, or previous jobs overrunning.

6.2 We will make reasonable efforts to notify Clients of delays.

6.3 Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a cancellation or call-out charge.

6.4 If we attend a booked appointment and are unable to carry out work due to customer-related issues, a call-out fee may apply.

7. Payment Terms

7.1 Payment is due immediately upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7.2 We reserve the right to request deposits for larger or specialist jobs.

7.3 Accepted payment methods may include bank transfer, cash, or card payment.

7.4 Late payments may result in:

  • Additional administration charges;

  • Statutory interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation where applicable.


8. Satisfaction & Completion

8.1 The Client or their representative must inspect the repair upon completion.

8.2 Any concerns must be raised before the technician leaves site where reasonably possible.

8.3 Once work has been accepted and the technician has left site, the repair will be considered complete.

9. Warranty

9.1 We provide a 12-month workmanship warranty on repairs unless otherwise stated.

9.2 The warranty covers failure of the repair due to workmanship or material failure under normal use conditions only.

9.3 The warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage;

  • Impact damage;

  • Misuse or neglect;

  • Cleaning chemicals;

  • Heat damage;

  • Structural movement;

  • Natural wear and tear;

  • Damage caused by third parties.

9.4 Warranty claims must be supported with photographs and proof of original work carried out.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Our liability is limited to the value of the repair work carried out.

10.2 We shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses;

  • Loss of earnings;

  • Delays outside our control;

  • Costs relating to replacement of entire items where repair was attempted in good faith.


10.3 Nothing within these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted under UK law.

11. Photographs & Marketing

11.1 The Company may take before-and-after photographs of repairs for quality control, training, or marketing purposes.

11.2 No personal information or identifying details will be shared without consent.

11.3 Clients may request in writing that photographs are not used for marketing.

12. Force Majeure
We shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations due to events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, illness, accidents, supplier delays, transport disruption, or acts of God.

13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
